Resilience camp for kids

A resilient person is often perceived as a strong person capable of withstanding great amounts of stress with the ability to bounce back in the face of adversity. It is a myth however that a person is born resilient. A person becomes resilient as a result of the challenges they endure and children can be taught the skills to achieve this from a young age. At Lighthouse therapy Malta we are offering classes where children are given the opportunity to form new alliances and tap into their hidden strengths, within the supportive setting of a group in a safe environment facilitated by senior therapists. Such a therapeutic group can assist children to hone into their stronger self that can sometimes be hidden as a result of a lack of self-esteem, a sense of shame and a fear- based mind-set. These classes therefore aim to support children to discover how to believe more in themselves and how to be able to handle stress with a more positive perspective, turning challenges into learning opportunities.
